Going strong for more than 25 years the Emerald Isle St. This rustic town right off route 17 is just a quick 28-minute drive to Kia of New Bern. Every year The Vanceboro Strawberry Festival takes place in Spring usually in early May.

Starting in 2006 the night before the parade there is a street dance. Parade starting at 10am on Main Street followed by live entertainment kids activities vendors and of course BBQ plates on the festival grounds.
